Hi, I’m Shaina.

For years, I lived in a quiet state of bracing — managing, pushing through, holding it all together — believing that if I just tried hard enough, I could think my way into calm.

Deep down, I knew I carried patterns that weren’t entirely mine.
Stress responses shaped long before I had language for them — inherited, learned, normalized.

After the birth of my first child, those patterns became impossible to ignore. I was overwhelmed, gripping to keep it together, even as my body asked for something different.

I believed wanting change badly enough would make it happen.
So I tried harder. I overrode my reactions. I forced calm.

And the harder I pushed, the more disconnected I felt.
